Bench Grinders and Unitized wheels
Bench grinders have been in use for over 100 years, and when used properly – they can be a safe and effective tool in the metalworking industry. The causes of most accidents with abrasive products have been related to improper use. An important way of avoiding unitized wheels breaking and personal injury is to make sure you have on the needed Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). This involves wearing the proper safety gloves, safety glasses, and a metalworking apron. If there is any concern for additional injury, you may also wear a face shield to further protect yourself from debris.

Securing the workpiece
One advantage on using UNITIZED wheels is the ability to control the end result more closely for intricate finishes. In order to properly control the workpiece, you must have a secure grip. Not having a strong hold can cause damage to either yourself or the workpiece.
